Our founder, Woody Klemetson, started in sales at a young age and worked his way into revenue leadership. He closed deals, built teams, and managed pipelines. He experienced lost revenue firsthand when customer context didn't flow to the right people.

Woody was an early hire at Divvy and served as VP of Sales, scaling the team to hundreds of reps through the $2.5B acquisition by Bill.com.

AskElephant is born

After Divvy, companies kept asking Woody to coach their sales teams and build better revenue systems. He didn't have the time or data to help them all. So he launched AskElephant to fix their revenue data the way he wished someone had fixed his.

Early customers automate their CRM

Woody's first customers turned on self-updating mode in their HubSpot CRM. For the first time, the data stayed clean without anyone asking reps to do manual data entry.

Why an elephant and its tusks?

  • The elephant: Sharp memory. Calm strength. The most complex social bonds in the animal kingdom. All traits we build into AskElephant.
  • The tusks: Tools, not decoration. They use their tusks to clear a path in the jungle. AskElephant clears the path so revenue teams can build relationships that AI can't.
  • The origin story: Woody's kids have always used the word "elephant" as a placeholder when they can't think of a name for something. So when an early customer asked what his product was called, he instinctively blurted out "elephant!" It stuck.
